Doesn't Adobe have the biggest profit from the corporations? Because if yes, then they don't care what we consider reasonable. A common user would buy that Elements stuff, that is already not expensive. Again, I think if they make Photoshop really cheap it may lose its market attraction.

There's a simple solution to the piracy problem - reasonable prices. Adobe charges nearly $2600 for CS5.5 Master Collection. Cut it to $260 and they'll more than make up the difference in sales.

Cut it to $26 and soon Adobe's stock price will be higher than Apple's.

Better yet, offer it to PC makers for $5.00 per copy - everyone gets it whether they want it or not. Get a new PC and it comes with the whole shebang. Adobe will rule the universe.

Thanks Astrum, great article! It turns out that the problem that I was having was a result of creating the rule for the 64-bit version of iexplorer, when I really meant to create the rule for the 32-bit version of the browser, found in %ProgramFiles% (x86)\Internet Explorer. Apparently, the two versions of the browser use different executables.

Yes, it is the same path, but please notice what I said about Avast web shield. Most probably you have a similar service within a security package where web traffic is filtered/directed by another process(es). You have to find it and create an according rule as well.
Cheers

I'm having some trouble getting these steps to work for IE 9. After creating the new rule, I'm unable to connect to the Internet. IE 9 displays the error "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." However, if I allow all outbound connections not matching a rule to be made, IE 9 begins to work again. Will the same program, %ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.com still work for IE 9?

Help!

I'm using CS3. First I was using it on XP. Got my new computer and have been using it on Windows 7 pro for 6 months now with no problems. Yesterday my Java updated, and now CS3 suite does not work.

1st, I got the:
"Licensing for this product has stopped working—You cannot use this product at this time. YOU MUST REPAIR THE PROBLEM BY UNINSTALLING and then reinstalling this product or by contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help." message.

Since it said to REINSTALL, that's what I did. Only it would not install.

Adobe customer service is a joke. They with their non USA thick accents could not offer any help. They seemed stupid around this issue.

Then I did a system restore thinking I can go back to "things" before all the drama started.

Instead of fixing things, I got other message:
"AMT subsystem failure—The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support."

Again, tried to reinstall, and still will not allow me to install.

PLEASE HELP! I USE PHOTOSHOP EVERYDAY!
